Reservations of Seats - as per the Government of India Rules
Admissions shall be made on Merit Basis & a detailed breakup shall be given in the Merit List(s). Merit list shall be displayed on the Notice Board of the Institute & DGET website. Further, Wait List shall be displayed every Friday up to the end of the month of August against the availability of seats.
Age limit - Minimum 15 years as on the last date of receipt of application & no upper age limit.
D.G.E.& T. reserves the right to discontinue / postpone / or not to start the training programs in any of the trade and increase / decrease the seating capacity, at its discretion, without assigning any reasons.
A Candidate has to secure 60% marks in Theory and practical (in internal examinations) and also an 80 % attendance. On fulfilling these requirements, the candidates will be allowed to appear for final examination conducted by NCVT, New Delhi in Jul every year. On passing the prescribed exam, trainees will be awarded with a Certificate from NCVT.

Hostel : Hostel facilities are available for both men and women trainees on payment of Rs. 100/- per month as Hostel rent and Rs. 50/- as Hostel service charge. Hostel Caution money Rs. 125/- per session(Refundable).
Separate hostel facilities are available for ladies.
Messing charges are extra and to be borne by the trainees separately.
Working Hours : From 09.00 am to 5.30 pm with half hour lunch break on all working days(Monday to Friday).
Attendance : Minimum 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Trade Test to be held at the end of the course.
