MESSAGE FROM THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Dear Patrons,

It gives me immense pleasure to introduce a series of innovative training programmes designed specifically to meet the evolving needs of India's manufacturing and allied sectors.

The National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), formerly known as ATI, Hyderabad, operates under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Established in 1963, NSTI Hyderabad is one of the premier institutions set up by the Government of India to generate trained instructors for the industrial workforce.

In recent years, MSDE has launched several forward-looking initiatives that are being actively implemented at NSTI Hyderabad, including:

  • Advanced Technical Diploma Programme in IT, Networking, and Cloud Computing in collaboration with IBM India

  • Introduction of innovative programmes like Solar Technician and Geo Informatics Assistant

  • Under the Startup India campaign, a Technology Innovation and Incubation Centre is being set up at NSTI Hyderabad

  • Development of demand-driven, tailor-made courses in collaboration with industry partners

Our trainees benefit from extensive hands-on practical training and learn to work independently under the mentorship of highly experienced and well-qualified trainers — a hallmark of our training model.

At NSTI, we place equal emphasis on the development of core human values, as well as the mental and physical well-being of our trainees. I urge all faculty and staff members to embrace these values and take responsibility for imparting them to our students.

We employ diverse training methods, including:

  • Demonstrations

  • Shop floor practices

  • Classroom lectures using modern AV aids

  • Computer-based learning

  • Participatory methods

  • Learner-centered approaches

  • Group discussions

We are proud to be associated with renowned organizations such as HAL, BHEL, BDL, DRDL, DGQA, SBC, Power Grid Corporation, INS, and various State Directorates, Polytechnics, and Engineering Colleges.

Our alumni have successfully secured placements in several esteemed organizations across the country.

I firmly believe in the power of teamwork. Every goal is achievable through collective participation. I invite all stakeholders — trainees, faculty, and industry partners — to join hands in building a robust skill development ecosystem for the nation.

Warm regards,
Regional Director
